Maqui wandered over 10 km alone after losing his mother, was rescued in 2013, and now lives happily at the refuge.

Bahá'í Temple
A temple at the foot of the Andes in Santiago the only one of its kind in South America, with quiet gardens and a building that's worth seeing up close.
TOUR 1
Cousiño Macul has been making wine on the same land since 1856 still family-owned, still in Santiago. The cellars were built in 1872 by French architects and go seven meters underground. The tour walks you through the winemaking process and the family's history, and ends with a tasting of their reserve wines.
Los Dominicos is a craft village built around a colonial church in Las Condes adobe workshops where artisans make and sell copper work, silver jewelry, lapislazuli, ceramics, and woven textiles. You can watch them work. It's a good place to pick up something that was actually made in Chile.
